As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for any and all functions relating to the accounts payable process.

Your impact:
- Enter invoices in the accounting system, generate reports and process checks with an extremely high level of accuracy.
- Confirm and verify purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors on product shipping errors and shortages.
- Maintain records and files in accordance with established filing system.
- Assist with the completion of the month-end closing in a timely manner by ensuring all transactions in a given month are properly entered into the system.
- Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
- Identify transactions that do not comply with the Company’s policies and escalate to the appropriate manager.
- Answer questions from peers and other departments.
- Keep track credits owed to the company and properly apply all credits to vendor payments.
Your Profile:
- At least three years of accounts payable experience.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- High school diploma required. Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Ability to learn Company’s Accounting Software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to consistently meet established deadlines.
