What are the responsibilities and job description for the Botany and Ecology Lab Coordinator - Student Employee position at CWS - Work Study?
Prepare lab set up and materials in advance of botany and ecology labs.
Check in with professors for any addition needs.
Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols within all the lab space.
Support occurring labs for any additional needs while on clock.
Complete general lab upkeep and maintenance tasks.
Receive packages and inventory materials per the online inventory protocol.
Complete any additional lab prep assignments with other Lab Coordinators.
Regularly check in with supervisors for additional tasks.
Participate in ongoing training and regular meetings with student managers.

Must be a current full-time undergraduate student, majoring in a science field at Maryville University.
Must be Federal Work-Study eligible (a US citizen that has filled out the FAFSA) and available to work during the academic year.
Must commit to at least 10 hours per week.
- A science faculty recommendation for lab work is preferred unless applying as a freshman. If applicable, please submit a recommendation letter with your application
Ability to stand and move throughout the lab for extended periods
Use of hands for handling equipment and preparing materials
Ability to lift and carry up to 20–30 pounds
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
Visual attention to detail for measurements and labels
Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment with standard chemical exposure
Responsiveness to active lab needs during sessions
