CWS Health is looking for a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the highest standards of patient care by ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and supplies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Clean, decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation and reusable supply items.
- Coordinate and prepare necessary supplies and instruments for emergent and routine surgical cases.
- Assemble and wrap instrument sets efficiently.
- Operate and maintain sterilized sonic cleaners and other related equipment.
- Retrieve and deliver surgical instruments in a timely manner.
- Thoroughly inspect instruments before sterilization to ensure they are clean and in good working order.
- Decontaminate instruments using correct chemical mixtures and procedures.
- Test, operate, and load autoclaves safely.
- Participate in regular cleaning and decontamination of department work surfaces.
- Complete sterilization log sheets accurately and efficiently.
