Position Description
CWRU LaunchNET is seeking an intern with a strong interest in data management and outreach to work with the Program Manager to support and expand this student-centric, campus-wide entrepreneurship initiative. Acting as ambassadors for LaunchNET, the Intern will provide support with client outreach, collect and process client data and prioritize data integrity, marketing initiatives, and other duties as assigned. The Intern with additional training/interest, may participate in venture coaching meetings with aspiring entrepreneurs.
Through this experience, the LaunchNET Intern will gain knowledge about new venture development and receive ample opportunities to meet and learn from a variety of NE Ohio entrepreneurs and innovators, while building their social capital.
Responsibilities Include
This role is 60% data management and 40% marketing. Please note that storytelling efforts take a significant amount of time and the person in this position will need to plan accordingly.
▪ Responsible for accurately inputting and updating data into Salesforce.
▪ Collaborate with other Data Entry Specialist I interns to transfer data between salesforce and airtable.
▪ Connect with Ventures to update data when it is not readily available.
▪ Track programming metrics between airtable and salesforce.
▪ Support LaunchNET staff by running reports to identify and analyze client trends across ventures.
▪ Create email lists to periodically check in with Ventures on behalf of Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
▪ Work with LaunchNET program Manager to identify Ventures that qualify for Credly badges and help support them in completing badge requirements.
▪ Meet the annual storytelling requirements in the LaunchNET grant by identifying, interviewing, and writing stories for LaunchNET clients.
Required Qualifications
▪ Must be enrolled as a graduate student at CWRU – all majors welcome to apply!
▪ An interest in innovation and entrepreneurship – or a willingness to learn.
▪ Strong skills in organizing, cleaning, and maintaining data, and comfortable working with spreadsheets and database platforms.
▪ Superior writing, communication, and organizational skills with a problem-solving mindset. ▪ Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
▪ Strong customer service skills, both in person, on the phone and by email.
▪ Compliance with a non-disclosure agreement and FERPA regulations to protect intellectual property and personal information for students, staff, faculty, and graduated alumni.
▪ This position is for the entire 2026-2027 Academic Year, and the intern should expect 10-20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
▪ Previous experience with Salesforce, Airtable, or similar CRM/database tools.
▪ Interest and understanding of data management, database systems, or business analytics.
▪ Previous experience with feature writing, narrative writing, and/or editorial writing is preferred.
▪ Ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team environment, as well as ease with working independently.
Pay Range
$12.65-$17.05 per hour
Salary : $13 - $17
