Position Summary
Curtis Wagner Plastics Corp. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our thermoforming production equipment and facility systems.
This is a hands-on position for someone with strong mechanical skills, experience working with industrial production machinery, and the ability to diagnose problems quickly and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime, support equipment changeovers, and complete preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, install, inspect, maintain, and repair thermoforming equipment and related production machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repair needs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational equipment issues.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
- Support machine start-ups, production runs, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, service reports, and equipment documentation.
- Track replacement parts, maintenance supplies, and tools.
- Coordinate with production team members to reduce downtime and keep manufacturing lines operating smoothly.
- Assist with general building and facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other repairs as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and workplace policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of industrial maintenance, thermoforming, or manufacturing equipment experience.
- Previous hands-on experience with thermoforming equipment or similar plastics production machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify equipment problems and complete repairs with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or occasional night shifts when production or maintenance needs require it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training, certification, degree, or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing or thermoforming operations.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance records.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
- Familiarity with facility maintenance systems.
Compensation and Benefits

Work Environment
This position is based in an indoor manufacturing facility and regularly involves:
