Job Title Network Operations Technician (Data Centre, Johor) Job Description Summary The Network Operations Technician team is responsible for onsite supervision of telecom dark fiber deployment, ISP commissioning, and network operations across the Data Centre campus, spanning both project delivery and live operations phases. The Team shall be responsible for supervising vendor work progress, telecom fiber deployment, and high-risk activities, while reporting risks and schedule status to stakeholders. The team provides onsite support during maintenance, incidents, and live data hall activities, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs/MOPs and assisting with troubleshooting, migrations, and decommissioning projects. Job Description Supervise and feedback Telecom dark fiber deployment progress at Data center campus ingress Supervise and feedback Telecom troubleshooting progress at remote relay/OLA / fiber break location Monitor and feedback high risk activity along Telecom's diverse dark fiber , External building and internal building fiber route to datahall Monitor and feedback ISP service provider system commissioning progress Supervise and feedback daily onsite project work progress across multiple project locations Ensure vendor's work is ontrack within project schedule Ensure onsite project risk and issues are feedback regularly to stakeholders Ensure strict adherence and compliance of onsite work to network internal SOP/ technical standards Provide regular reporting on progress as required (move, change, support request ) and develop continuous improvement capabilities Coordinate related administrative matters to ensure vendor's smooth entry into site for work Ensure onsite project risk has been highlighted promptly and execution of solution Participate in various site surveys and pre-work to establish a clear project work plan Provide onsite support during scheduled maintenance / change events Supervise and feedback site progress during network high risk activity, vendor working in SC room Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner. Conduct network preventive inspections to reduce downtime and operational risks. Monitor and respond promptly to network alerts and incidents and provide first response accurate update Oversee day-to-day network operations onsite , ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements. Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs). Support and lead small-to-large scale projects, including migrations and expansions. Responsible for setting up the network remote working environment. Conduct on-site upgrade work for the switch / debugging work. Assist in troubleshooting optical cable faults. Assist network engineers in troubleshooting network faults and determining the root cause. Oversee and supervise vendors working in live supercore network data hall. On-site management of network decommissioning project. Requirements: 3 years of experience preferably in Data Centre or Critical infrastructure industry Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
