Overview
CVW Event Productions is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Technician on a temporary basis to help facilitate the movement and inventory of audio-visual equipment in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where a positive attitude and attention to detail are critical to success. This position is open immediately.
The candidate MUST be a self-motivator and able to meet required deadlines. Timeliness is essential to success in this position. Live event industry background or experience is helpful but not required. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience and grow within the industry. Ideal candidate will have experience driving box trucks (16’-26’) and experience with general warehouse operations. CDL license is not required, but general knowledge of DOT requirements is a plus. Must be able to pass a driver’s background check.
Pay range will be determined by skills and level of experience. While the main hours for this job are M-F, 9am-5pm, night and weekend drives will be required from time to time as well.
WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving & Stocking:
-Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
-Unload materials and products, using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) when necessary.
-Accurately sort, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
-Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts.
Order Fulfillment:
-Pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging for shipment.
-Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, weighing, and staging for pickup.
-Operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance:
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
-Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, cleaning spills, and disposing of waste.
-Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
-Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Equipment Operation:
-Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, in a safe and responsible manner.
-Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, 16’-26’trucks) safely and efficiently for the delivery and pickup of goods.
-Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company driving policies.
-Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
-Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection:
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting any issues or maintenance needs.
-Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical problems promptly to management.
-Ensure all vehicle registration, insurance, and safety equipment are current and in good order.
Documentation & Communication:
-Complete delivery manifests, logs, and other required paperwork accurately and legibly.
-Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
-Obtain necessary signatures and proof of delivery from recipients.
Customer Service:
-Represent the company professionally and courteously during all interactions with customers and the public.
-Address customer inquiries or concerns regarding deliveries in a polite and helpful manner, escalating issues as needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety & Compliance:
-Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
-Participate in safety training and maintain a strong safety-conscious mindset.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
-Work collaboratively with other team members, including warehouse staff, show technicians, office staff and management.
-Assist with other duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Physical Demands:
-Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs) regularly.
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Adaptability:
-Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and schedules.
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if required.
