Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring accurate medication management. Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist with medication intake, inventory management, and restocking supplies.
- Provide patient service by answering questions and offering medication guidance.
- Support IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques to ensure sterile compounding.
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication administration and patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including aseptic technique and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support critical care and acute care pharmacy needs.
- Assist in medication reconciliation and ensure proper medication storage according to regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Valid pharmacy technician license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Prior pharmacy technician experience, preferably in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmacy operations.
- Experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
- Critical care experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
Pay: $16.50 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
