Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication administration, including IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique
- Manage medication intake, inventory control, and stock replenishment
- Support patient care activities by providing medication information and answering patient inquiries
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensing and patient records
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to medication handling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care and hospital environments to optimize patient outcomes
- Uphold strict adherence to medical terminology and pharmacy procedures during daily operations
Requirements
- Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques
- Critical care experience or familiarity with IV infusion processes is highly desirable
- Strong commitment to patient service and patient care excellence
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
