Pharmacist (Full Time or Part Time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This position requires a strong background in clinical pharmacy, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication management, patient assessments, and providing exceptional patient service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including patient assessment and medication therapy management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
• Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapies as necessary.
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV infusions, adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
• Participate in hospital committees related to pharmacy services and medication safety.
• Stay current with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pharmacy practice.

Skills

• Proficient in managed care principles and practices.
• Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred.
• Strong background in hospital medicine and critical care experience.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program is highly desirable.
• Clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on acute care settings such as ICU or PICU.
• Knowledge of pain management strategies and acute pain management protocols.
• Familiarity with emergency room operations and medication administration processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams.
