The Mobility Program Counselor will provide information and resources to the Mobility Counseling families to prepare them for a move in a range of neighborhoods. The Mobility Counselor will provide motivational counseling to program participants and ensure that all participant information is entered in Share Point. In addition, this position will also include general admin support tasks, including, but not limited to data entry, office organization, filing, copying, printing, mailing, and other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists with recruiting families and owners to participate in the Mobility Counseling program.
- Brief interested families and potential owners on the requirements and goals of the Mobility Counseling program.
- Enter intake survey data into SharePoint and schedule intake assessments.
- Provides pre counseling, apartment search assistance to assist families to move into opportunity areas.
- Prepares files for review and scanning.
- Assists tenants in developing Personalized Action Plan (PAP) and make referrals based on identified needs.
- Monitors tenant’s PAP for goal completion and update Share Point.
- Effectively communicates with Mobility Counseling Program Director and Coordinator regarding any participant related concerns.
- Regularly updates the record-keeping system regarding family attributes.
- Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on progress, challenges, and successes.
- Safeguards confidential and sensitive information as required by program rules.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

This position reports to the Mobility Counseling Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage families and property owners to participate in the Mobility Counseling Program
- Explain program goals, eligibility requirements, and expectations to prospective participants
- Conduct intake activities, enter survey data into SharePoint, and schedule assessments
- Provide pre‑counseling and apartment search assistance to help families successfully move into opportunity areas
- Assist participants in developing Personalized Action Plans (PAP) and make referrals based on identified needs
- Monitor PAP progress, update participant records, and maintain accurate documentation in SharePoint
- Prepare participant files for review, scanning, and record retention
- Communicate participant progress, concerns, and outcomes with program leadership
- Participate in regular team meetings to share updates, challenges, and successes
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information in compliance with program requirements
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, copying, mailing, and office organization
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- Working knowledge of housing mobility or ability to learn applicable regulations, policies, and statutes

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Human Services, Education, or a closely related field
OR - High School Diploma with four (4) years of full‑time, paid experience providing direct human services to clients
