What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Dietitian position at CVPH Medical Center?
Overview
Min Rate = $31.20 / Max Rate = $46.18 *Placement is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Units Agreement.
Plans, directs, and provides nurtitional care to patients utilizing standards of care. Conducts nutrition education to various customer groups. May assume duties of Diet Technician in their absence.
Responsibilities
Assesses and determines nutrition status of all patients within 24 hours of nutrition consult referral.
Determines, provides, and documents nutrition counseling needs as deemed appropriate to all patients/residents.
Documents in a timely fashion all assessments, follow-ups, education, and recommendations.
Works overtime when needed.
Attends critical care pathway meeting, care planning, and other interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.
Provides quality assessments, education, and documentation to all outpatient services in which they are assigned.
Writes plan of care goals that can be measured.
Actively participates in planning, implementation, and data collection for hospital/department Performance Improvement Plans.
Participates in department inservices and projects as assigned
Participates in hospital committees as assigned.
Maintains CDR registration and complies with Professional Development portfolio guidelines.
Participates in community nutrition education and wellness support.
Completes Clinical Productivity, meal rounds, and test trays on time as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree from an Acadamy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved college.
Registration or registry eligible is required. Registration is required within six months of hire date.
Previous experience in health care setting preferred.
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
