Seeking an organized, self-motivated administrative manager to serve as Executive Director for a local arts nonprofit organization with an established brand in the NC arts community.


Duties include grant writing and reporting, board liaison, Google Workspace and other accounts administrator, website liaison, donor liaison, and staff oversight in collaboration with the artistic lead of the organization (Editor-in-Chief). Executive Director is the main administrative lead of the organization, providing long-term planning and brand direction, while supporting and collaborating with the Editor-in-Chief, who leads day-to-day operations and management of artists. Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, especially the Treasurer, to maintain and update grant contracts, organizational documents, and grantor and donor acknowledgements. Work is largely remote but requires checking organization’s mailbox in North Raleigh twice a month and making in-person bank deposits as needed (once or twice per month).


Pay is a $750 monthly stipend for largely remote work averaging 10-15 hours per week. Residence in / proximity to Raleigh is preferred, as general knowledge of arts programming in the Raleigh and Wake County area is important. Availability to attend in-person programming, grantor events, and network-building and fundraising/friend-raising events is preferred.


Fundraising/marketing experience is preferred, as well as prior (or current) involvement in NC arts landscape, provided it will not be a conflict of interest.
