Role: Integration Management Office (IMO) Lead

Inorganic growth is a core pillar of Cvent’s strategy. Over the last two years, Cvent has completed seven strategic acquisitions, with more to come. This highly visible role will lead end‑to‑end integration for future and prior acquisitions, working closely with CxOs, Corporate Development, and senior leaders across Cvent and acquired companies to meet and exceed deal value drivers.

You will be responsible for accelerating value realization from acquisitions by aligning product, technology, operations, and go‑to‑market functions. The role requires a leader who is comfortable operating cross‑functionally, moves with urgency, and can solve a diverse set of strategic and tactical challenges across all areas of the business.

This role also represents the “best of Cvent” to employees joining through acquisitions—guiding both Cvent and acquired teams through periods of change with clarity, empathy, and accountability.

As the head of the Integration Management Office (IMO), you will manage and inspire a dedicated team and, reporting to the SVP, Strategic Projects & PMO, will continue to enhance existing integration capabilities and build new ones.

In This Role, You Will::

Integration Strategy, Leadership & Execution

  • Define integration strategies aligned to Cvent’s corporate growth objectives and platform expansion roadmap.
  • Serve as the executive integration leader, partnering with functional leaders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, HR, IT, and Legal.
  • Lead Integration Steering Committees attended by the full Cvent C‑suite, providing clear insights on progress against the investment thesis, key risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with senior leaders to finalize and execute Day 1 and 30‑60‑90 day plans for all departments.
  • Leverage AI‑driven analytics and workflow automation to improve integration planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Lead change management and communication strategies to ensure smooth transitions, address stakeholder concerns, and align messaging with Cvent’s culture and values.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve integration effectiveness across the acquisition lifecycle; codify best practices, playbooks, and tools to make integration a repeatable capability.

General Manager Leadership & Business Ownership

  • Act as General Manager for acquired businesses during the integration period, rapidly developing a deep understanding of their product portfolio, revenue model, operations, and organizational structure.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities across the combined organization, including cross‑sell, platform integration, packaging, and new market expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with leadership teams of acquired companies; address employee concerns, maintain business continuity, and protect/enhance culture and performance.

Synergy Capture & Value Realization

  • Partner with Corporate Development during M&A diligence to assess integration complexity, one‑time and ongoing costs, and synergy opportunities (revenue and cost).
  • Influence synergy targets during diligence and own the post‑close realization plan.
  • Track, measure, and communicate synergy progress through structured KPI dashboards and standardized reporting.
  • Provide regular integration and value realization updates to Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Drive accountability across executive stakeholders for delivering value creation goals and resolving integration issues quickly.
Here's What You Need::
  • 15 years of experience in M&A integration, operational leadership, corporate development, or management consulting.
  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience driving post‑merger integration within SaaS, enterprise software, or technology companies.
  • Demonstrated program leadership and operational excellence, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
  • Persistent attention to detail and a track record of leading through ambiguity in fast‑moving environments.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience in setting and tracking synergy realization and integration‑related KPIs.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, executive presence, and communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading global, geographically distributed teams, coordinating complex initiatives across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Experience implementing or leveraging AI tools, advanced analytics, or automation to improve operational performance and decision‑making.
