Stainless Design Concepts (SDC®), a subsidiary of CVD Equipment Corporation, is a manufacturer of Ultra-High-Purity (UHP) gas and chemical delivery systems for high-tech fabrication processes.
Stainless Design Concepts (SDC®) located in Saugerties, NY has an opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler who will perform tasks constructing and assembling equipment frames, cabinets, panels, mechanisms and process gas piping to required specification in the manufacture of Gas and Chemical Delivery Systems.
What you will do:
- Proactively adhere to all safety standards and established protocols.
- Read, interpret and follow schematics, basic blueprints, diagrams, and other written instructions or procedures.
- Set-up, lay out, build and assemble equipment frames, cabinets, panels, mechanisms, and process gas piping from raw materials and sub-assemblies.
- Fabricate and mount panels and fixtures for mechanical, control, and electrical systems.
- Operate power/hand tools, measuring devices, and instruments in the assembly and testing of products.
- Inspect vendor-supplied parts and sub-assemblies to ensure standard of quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to company manufacturing standards, methods, and policies meeting established quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot faulty mechanisms and correct accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation free from debris and hazards.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational/Trade School/Military training in mechanical/electrical concepts a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly using power/hand tools and measuring devices.
Required Skill & Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
- Attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- Work well independently and within a team to coordinate efforts with colleagues.
- Effectively manage time; complete task as required.
- Ability to regularly lift 30 – 50 pounds.
- Dexterity in handling tools, measuring devices, and the manual assembly of parts and pieces quickly and accurately.
