CVD Ceramics, Inc, a subsidiary of Hellma Materials GmbH, has an exciting and challenging
opportunity for a Manufacturing Operator located in New Iberia, LA. CVD Ceramics Inc. is a
high-tech state of the art manufacturer of bulk CVD Zinc Selenide®, CVD Zinc Sulfide®, CVD
Tuftran®, and CVD CLEARTRAN®.
Reporting to the Director of CVD Manufacturing and while following company safety rules, the
successful candidate will perform a variety of operational tasks to ensure that
manufactured products are in full compliance with company quality standards and customer
specifications and requirements. The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for various duties involved in the production of chemical vapor deposition materials following established methods and procedures to meet customer demands.
Role Expectations
- Complete safety and environmental training as scheduled and required to perform the job safely.
- Work from written procedures, production schedule, and verbal instructions from leadership.
- Perform various duties associated with the production of CVD materials including assembly, setup prep, loading and unloading of furnaces, cleaning and rebuilding furnace equipment.
- Train to the point of being Certified as per training program.
- Record in detail any observed process abnormalities.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance, which includes inspection and documentation of furnaces and auxiliary equipment.
- Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of raw materials and replacement parts for the process.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized work area.
- Perform other duties as required or as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to three years’ experience in a production environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Excellent analytical mathematical skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to wear full-face respirator (clean shaven)
- Efficient computer skills (word, excel, power point, etc.)
- Previous experience in chemical vapor deposition process

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
