Job Summary
We are looking for a driver that can cover weekends 3-4 Runs a week.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent customer service skills. The Truck Driver will operate in a day cab or sleeper with an end dump trailer attached. Route is going from Oceanside,Los Angeles Areas , Riverside , Carson ( LA AREAS to Arizona border. Driver will be mainly on highway 10 passing through California every day.
Lanes can vary depending on drivers.
Morning shifts and also afternoon shifts. We are flexible with schedule.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks including end dump trailer.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by interacting professionally with clients.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including tanker, flatbed, tractor-trailer, dump truck, roll-off truck, and refrigerated trailers.
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
