Workers Compensation Defense Attorney

Cuzdey, Stine & Sansalone, LLC is an established workers' compensation defense firm located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Our firm is dedicated to providing quality legal representation, personalized client service, and efficient resolution of workers' compensation claims throughout Georgia.

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of workers' compensation defense experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with a dedicated partner while independently managing cases through all stages of litigation, including depositions, mediations, and hearings. This position offers opportunities to develop strong client relationships while delivering responsive, high-quality legal representation.

• Active license to practice law in Georgia and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of workers' compensation defense experience.
• Strong knowledge of Georgia workers' compensation laws, procedures, and State Board practices.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to case management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage workers' compensation defense cases from initial assignment through resolution.
• Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research, review medical records, and evaluate claims to develop effective defense strategies.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and hearings before the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward timely, cost-effective claim resolutions.
• Maintain regular client communication, providing case updates, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
• Collaborate with partners, fellow attorneys, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
