A Day in the Life of a Registered Nursing Assistant-Hospital (NAR/CNA)

As a Registered Nursing Assistant, you will collaborate closely with Registered Nurses to deliver critical direct care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your role involves tasks such as assisting with patient meals, providing personal care, and helping patients in their recovery from various health conditions. Challenges include managing a variety of patient needs and adapting to changing priorities swiftly. You will also handle operational tasks like stocking supplies and operating healthcare equipment, demonstrating precision and care. This position demands a high level of alertness and responsiveness, especially when dealing with emergency situations.

In the Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Department at CRMC, we provide expert, compassionate care for a diverse range of patients. As the largest department in the hospital, our nurses and clinical staff are highly skilled in managing complex medical conditions, surgical recovery, pain management, and patient education, ensuring that every individual receives personalized, high-quality care throughout their hospital stay. Our team balances clinical expertise with adaptability, caring for a variety of medical needs while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and recovery. Whether responding to changing patient conditions, collaborating with specialists, or helping patients regain independence before discharge, Med/Surg professionals play a critical role in the healing process. Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Required

• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire (on-site training provided)
• Active registration with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry within 1 year of hire (on-site preparation provided if needed) OR enrolled in a nursing program

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
