POSITION DESCRIPTION: Outreach Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Community Impact Manager HOURS: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours weekly)

Must be willing to work nights and weekends as required.

SALARY RANGE: GS 9 ($62,630 – $81,418) STATUS: Classified; Non-Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with the coordination of CCVSC outreach events; must attend outreaches when required
• Assist the Executive Director/Community Impact Manager in the coordination and delivery of marketing/outreach activities, such as:
  • Speaking engagements at senior centers, veteran posts/chapters, etc.
  • Staffing CCVSC exhibits and displays at various outreach events.
  • Participate in Veterans Treatment Courts
  • Preparation of power point presentations, brochures, flyers, and other information promoting CCVSC services.
• Assists Executive Director/Community Impact Manager to coordinate with appropriate organizations to maximize education series for Veterans
• Assists Executive Director/Community Impact Manager to coordinate with community partners to provide wrap-around services in waiting room and vacant office space
• Assist with updates to social media, including but not limited to web site, Facebook, and Twitter
• Responsible for ensuring adequate quantities of outreach materials and coordinating with appropriate staff to order items as necessary.
• Assists the Executive Director/Social Work Manager in preparing social media and outreach strategies
• Attends and successfully completes all training and continuing education courses as directed
• Responsible for the coordination and planning of targeted outreach population, as assigned. For example, an Outreach Coordinator may be assigned to Homeless Veterans, Justice involved Veterans, Elderly Veterans, Female Veterans, or Memorial Affairs (cemeteries and funeral homes). The Outreach Coordinator would be responsible for creating and executing an outreach plan specific to that group.

Activities defined in the above position description do not preclude or exempt the employee from performing other related or non-related duties as may be required to maintain an effectively functioning office.
