Job Description:
SUMMARY
Provides current and accurate college-wide information support and responds to inquiries from current and prospective students and the public regarding Public Safety Center of Excellence (PSCoE) and Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) programs, services, deadlines, and procedures. Evaluates student transcripts for specific program admission requirements and verifies eligibility for entrance into program. Enters data into the student record system.

Education And Experience/Training
Must be able to occasionally stand; and lift up to ten (10) pounds without assistance. Must be able to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Special vision requirements include ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in an environment with a moderate noise level.

This is a Full-time (1199/SEIU) Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 08. Full-time (1199/SEIU) bargaining unit employees at Cuyahoga Community College will be considered first for vacant positions.
Target Hiring Rate: Minimum salary $51,400/annually

Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to inquiries from current and prospective students
- Assists students with registration processing; manual and self-service
- Assists students with processing of various forms and college paperwork
- Answers telephone, provides basic program information, and directs calls.Greets visitors to the office and provides information or directs them to appropriate party. Mails out requested course and program collateral
- Maintains updated program materials and application packets for the EMT programs
- Represents Public Safety Center of Excellence and EMT programs at Open Houses and other on- and off-campus recruitment events
- Files documentation and maintains student records
- Uses scanning technology to update electronic files
- Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Assists with full-time faculty workloads
- Represents the department at the summer bidding for full-time faculty members
- Serves as a liaison between various programs within Public Safety Center or Excellence and Emergency Medical Technology
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Associate Degree
- Two (2) years of equivalent full-time customer service experience in a secondary or post- secondary educational setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to effectively community with individuals at all levels
- Strong presentation skills
- Skills in keyboarding; basic math and grammar, and basic level word processing (MS Word)
- Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to recruit students
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet the College insurability requirements
- Must have sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community
