Duties

• Safely operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and rigging equipment to access and trim tall palm trees and other vegetation
• Perform precise plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and remove hazardous or dead branches
• Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with landscape mapping and tree inventory management
• Conduct tree trimming and tree care activities following industry standards for safety and horticultural best practices
• Execute landscaping tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscape maintenance to support overall site aesthetics
• Apply dendrology knowledge—study of woody plants—to identify tree species and determine appropriate trimming techniques
• Maintain equipment including chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Proven growing experience with palms, trees, shrubs, and landscape plants; horticulture or arboriculture background preferred
• Familiarity with tree trimming techniques, plant pruning care, and general tree care practices
• Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work; experience with bucket operation is highly desirable
• Knowledge of GIS systems for landscape planning or inventory management is a plus
• Skilled in rigging techniques for safe removal or pruning of large branches or trees
• Strong understanding of dendrology principles to identify different tree species and their specific needs
• Hands-on experience with chainsaws, lawn care equipment, and landscape maintenance tools
• Excellent physical fitness for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; growing experience in horticulture or landscaping is advantageous
