Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Help to join our dynamic woodworking and cabinetry team. In this role, you will assist with various tasks involved in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom cabinets and woodwork. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced construction environment, working alongside skilled carpenters and fabricators. Responsibilities
- Support the cabinet manufacturing process by preparing materials and assisting with cutting, sanding, and finishing.
- Aid in the assembly of cabinets, fixtures, and other wood components using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with framing, metal stud installation, and drywall work as needed on job sites.
- Help with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Participate in site cleanup, material handling, heavy lifting, and organization of tools and supplies.
- Support installation tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, caulking, siding, and trim carpentry.
- Follow safety protocols consistently while working on construction sites or in the shop environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction estimating, framing, trim carpentry, or related trades is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic woodworking equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings accurately.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
- Experience in construction site environments including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or restoration industry experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
