Responsibilities
Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, safely and efficiently. Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting shrubs, flowers, and trees while ensuring proper watering and fertilization. Conduct seasonal snow plowing operations to maintain safe access during winter months. Support tree care activities including trimming, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetics.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment. Knowledge of lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, planting, irrigation systems, and horticulture principles. Ability to operate construction machinery like excavators safely on job sites. Experience with tree care including trimming and health assessments. Basic understanding of gardening practices for different plant types and soil conditions. Ability to follow safety protocols while working with heavy equipment or in potentially hazardous environments. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in landscaping and maintenance tasks.
