Industrial Cleaner

Cutting Edge Countertops is the premier countertop fabricator for the Midwest with five locations across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. We provide high-quality countertops with outstanding craftsmanship.

We are looking for an Industrial Cleaner to join our Perrysburg, Ohio, team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for cleaning the Cutting Edge manufacturing facilities, including the plant, warehouse and other industrial areas. Essential Functions:

• Clean and maintain the plant, warehouse and other industrial areas
• Operate the Floor Scrubber to clean the plant and warehouse floors
• Manage the water systems of the plant, including maintaining the filter press and water storage
• Clear trenches on the shop floor, using a shovel to clear the floor drains
• Empty trash in production areas, using a forklift and large dump bins
• Clear machine holding tanks, using a shovel to remove mud from cutting operations
• General cleaning of production areas, including machines and floors
• Grounds clean up, including salting walks in winter, and clearing weeds from beds
• Ensure work environments are safe and clean
• Adhere to all Cutting Edge Countertops and Plant safety requirements. This includes recognition of common safety hazards as well as precautions to establish and maintain a safe work environment
• Complete duties without supervision
• Conduct business with integrity and the highest degree of professionalism

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Ability to develop your own customized plan of action to ensure the cleanliness of the plant and warehouse

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing facility with some outdoor exposure. May require frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands:

• Requires use of your legs and arms, moving your whole body, lifting, walking, handling materials, stooping, climbing and balancing
• Requires handling, moving, installing, positioning and manipulating materials and objects
• Requires dexterity, eye and hand coordination to operate tools and materials
• Requires the ability to pick up heavy wet material using a shovel; involving bending at ankles, knees and hips
