Description
Countertop Fabricator (3rd Shift) Full Time L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered. L.E. Smith is looking for a 3rd Shift Fabricator 9:00 pm - 7:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files. Responsibilities:
- Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers
- Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes
- Cutting and applying build-up
- Banding countertops
- Fabrication of applied edge tops
- Installation of sinks into countertops
- Gluing and laying laminate
- Cutting and finishing backsplashes.
- Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops
- Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check
- Basic CNC Machine operation
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas

- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
- The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
- Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read prints, a tape measure, and operate hand tools.
- Good Attendance
- Full-time 1st Shift Position (5:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday through Thursday)
- Full-time 3rd Shift Position ( Shift Diff) ( 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday)
- Pay Rate $18.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential.

Qualifications
- An ability to understand shop drawings, schematic diagrams.
- Physical stamina to stand for long period of time.
- Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery
- 1-3 years fabrication experience desired, or those with experience in detail focused trades (finished carpentry, auto repair) or time spent playing music or producing art do well in this role!
- May require moving material up to 70 lbs.
- Requires good physical dexterity, as well as eye/hand coordination to operate tools.
- High School diploma or GED
