Cutting Edge Communications has an opening for a Account Manager. Our Account Managers play a vital role in the success of our small, dynamic company. As a direct report to our Supervisor, the Account Manager is the conduit for all contractual transactions by the company. As an Account Manager, you must have the ability to communicate confidently, clearly, and effectively while representing Cutting Edge to our customers and subcontractors. Developing and maintaining healthy, productive relationships is fundamental to success. The successful candidate demonstrates attention to detail and is a natural organizer. It is also important to be capable of adapting and helping shape our internal processes as part of a rapidly growing small company. Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Lead all company engagement for assigned contract(s), including but not limited to, response to initial requests for proposal, contracts negotiation, subcontract definition and management, employee/contractor engagement, invoicing, and contracts management.
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with counterparts at prime contractor/client location.
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with subcontractors.
- Maintain highly detailed records and organize documentation related to assigned contract(s).
- Improve efficiency of existing processes.
- Manage company risk based on contract/subcontract completeness and clarity.
- Provide project management for special projects defined by company leadership.

Key Performance Indices:
- Time from RFP to Proposal delivery: 24 hours
- Time from customer query to response: 24 hours
- Time from customer query for additional personnel to role fulfillment
- Number of proposals delivered
- Number of proposals awarded as percent of delivered
- Number of face-to-face contacts with clients and subcontractors each month
- Number of new contracts negotiated
- Number of contract modifications processed
- Number of subcontracts negotiated
- Number of subcontract modifications processed
- Time for invoice submittal after end of month: 7 days
- All documentation current within 1 week of transactions (contracts, subcontracts, proposals)
- Positive customer feedback
Accountability:
- Accountable to the Supervisor for successful management of assigned projects
- Accountable to the Supervisor for the successful processing, closure, and documentation of all assigned contract and subcontract transactions
- Accountable to the Supervisor for the efficient prosecution of the contracts and subcontracts processes
- Accountable to the Supervisor for compliance with all rates and expense policies
- Accountable to the Supervisor to maintain responsive, personable interactions with clients and deployed staff
Authority:
- Interact with clients and subcontractors within assigned indirect budget
- Prepare and recommend contract and subcontract closure solutions to Supervisor for approval
- Prepare and recommend proposals for approval by Supervisor and in compliance with customer requests
- Define, refine, and update contracts and subcontract processes to manage risk exposure for Cutting Edge
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Pay Range: $73,500 - $90,000
