- Team and production management: Supervise, train, and mentor welders and fabricators, and schedule work activities to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Safety and quality assurance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, enforce safe work practices, and inspect welds to maintain high-quality standards.
- Operations management: Oversee daily shop operations, manage the maintenance and inventory of equipment and materials, and analyze costs to improve efficiency.
- Project planning: Review blueprints, plan workflow, and coordinate fabrication projects, often collaborating with other departments to ensure projects are completed correctly.
Key skills and qualifications
- Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a team, conduct performance reviews, and make sound operational decisions.
- Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment, including the ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
- Problem-solving: Skill in troubleshooting technical and personnel issues to ensure a smooth workflow.

Duties
- Lead and supervise daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service
- Interview, and onboard new team members, providing comprehensive employee orientation and ongoing training & development
- Manage employee schedules, and shift assignments
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative environment
- Manage marketing initiatives within the site to promote products
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and legal regulations including health & safety standards
- Address customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Maintain organizational records related to sales reports, employee files, inventory logs, and financial documentation
Experience
- Proven management experience in fabrication/machining environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong background in math including ability to read blue prints
- Familiarity with ASME fabrication, QA/QC, and industries standards.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with time management capabilities to prioritize tasks efficiently
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
