SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOUR FIRST YEAR COULD BE:

Within the first 30-60 days:

  • Learn Cutler Investment Group’s position in the industry, company processes, and the “Cutler Way” of servicing clients, available resources, and team collaboration.
  • Schedule meetings, lunches, one-on-ones, etc. to get to know all staff and senior leadership.
  • Observe and attend meetings with Senior Wealth Advisors and learns from their approach and is assigned to clients to support operationally.
  • By 60 days, perform all operational aspects of client management 90% independently.

3 months and ongoing:

  • By 3 months, operationally support Senior Wealth Advisor’s and their client portfolios. Is gaining a deeper knowledge of holistic planning areas which includes, but is not limited to, investment strategies, tax codes, and insurance coverage.
  • Is an active listener, observing nuances and approaches, outcomes, next steps, to continue learning. Has debriefs and action-oriented conversations with Senior Wealth Advisors on next steps and any questions.
  • At 4-6 months, is spending more time in client meetings for continuous learning and is collaborating with Senior Wealth Advisors to manage and service accounts.

6 months and ongoing:

  • Begin adding value during client annual reviews by preparing paperwork and identifying potential issues or red flags. Identifies recurring problems by bringing attention to important details on client accounts.
  • Assist in analyzing clients' financial situations, conducting research, and preparing data to support financial strategies under the guidance of a Senior Wealth Advisor.
  • Join Senior Wealth Advisors and/or Directors at social events to learn how to interact with potential clients, articulate Cutler’s approach and generate relationships.
  • Continue to leverage internal resources regularly for development & knowledge growth.

12 months and ongoing:

  • Begin to take on more lead and strategic roles with the book of business, actively thinking and collaborating with team members about how to lead clients and explores opportunities to find assets.
  • Begin to learn the process of prospecting new clients through different channels, techniques, tactics, and approaches.
  • As skills and drive develop in the upcoming 12-24 months, take on more complex client needs and responsibilities, managing clients independently with the opportunity to grow a book of business through new client acquisition or internal assignment.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of work experience with a focus on attention to detail, client/customer facing, and being intrinsically curious highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience (through personal interest or professional) managing budgets, tracking investments, or trading required
  • Strong foundational knowledge of financial concepts through own personal interest or professional skills acquired required
  • Passion for learning and a drive to grow within the financial services industry required
  • Willingness to engage with people, develop relationships, and continuously learn to meet client needs required
  • Ability to acquire Series 65 license within the first year of employment required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, management, or a related field highly preferred
  • Background in financial services, banking, insurance, or related fields required, though experience in product-based sales a plus
  • Completion of coursework for CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation a plus

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
