Role OverviewWe are seeking motivated premedical student volunteers interested in dermatology, research, and medical AI. Volunteers will assist with labeling and reviewing acne lesion images to support data mining and the development of diagnostic software. This role offers hands-on exposure to dermatology research, medical imaging, and digital health innovation.
Responsibilities- Assist in labeling and categorizing acne lesion images using standardized guidelines
- Help identify lesion types (e.g., comedones, papules, pustules) for dataset accuracy
- Support data quality checks and basic annotation validation
- Learn and follow dermatology-focused annotation protocols
- Collaborate with a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians and developers
- Current premedical undergraduate or post-baccalaureate student
- Strong interest in dermatology, medicine, or medical research
- Attention to detail and ability to follow labeling guidelines
- Comfortable working with images and basic digital tools
- No prior dermatology or AI experience required (training provided)
