How It Works
The CEE Network Substitute program was created to help early childhood programs — centers, in-home providers, preschools, and Head Start locations — fill daily staffing gaps. As a CEE Substitute, you choose your own schedule and where you want to work. You'll only be booked for the days you mark as available.
Once you've completed KDHE-required training, you're ready to accept assignments with our contracted early childhood programs.
Requirements
Before starting, you must complete:
- Fingerprinting and background check
- Health survey and TB test
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification and skills testing
- 18-hour online initial Health and Safety training (plus 16 hours annually to maintain eligibility)
- Work references
- High school diploma or college transcript
- Orientation at our contracted centers
Previous early childhood education experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right people for this important work.

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
