Job Description:
CD Staffing is currently hiring an Entry-Level Welder / Torch Cutter for a recycling yard located in the Miami area near MIA Airport. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to start or grow their career in the welding and metal recycling industry, with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time position after the probationary period.
The facility processes heavy metal materials, including construction antenna structures and aerial crane components. The selected candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing oversized metal pieces so they can be properly processed through industrial metal compactors and recycling machinery. This role also includes basic welding support tasks as needed.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, safety-focused, and interested in building long-term experience in the industrial recycling and welding field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate torch equipment to cut large metal structures and components
- Prepare and resize heavy metal materials for processing equipment
- Assist with basic welding tasks and metal repairs when required
- Ensure all materials are safely handled and properly staged
- Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support general yard operations as needed
Requirements:
- Previous welding or torching experience preferred
- Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain if required)
- Basic understanding of industrial safety standards
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn and grow within the recycling industry
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
