- Manage and maintain diverse IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi.
- Design, implement, and optimize system architecture solutions utilizing cloud services like AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Administer operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments; perform system updates, patches, and configurations to ensure security and performance.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell scripting), Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to streamline operations.
- Configure and manage network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancing solutions, and information security protocols to safeguard organizational data.
- Oversee database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring data integrity through backup strategies and performance tuning.
- Implement DevOps practices with tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines to enhance software development lifecycle (SDLC) efficiency.
- Design RESTful APIs and manage API integrations for seamless communication between applications; utilize solution architecture principles for system design projects.
- Monitor system health using tools like Nagios or Zabbix; troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment to deliver microservices-based solutions using Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Ensure compliance with information security standards by implementing best practices for data protection and access control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA).
- Proven experience in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi or Hyper-V; familiarity with SAN/NAS storage solutions is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms including AWS or Azure; experience with cloud migration projects is a plus.
- Expertise in database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; knowledge of PL/SQL is beneficial.
