Location: Customedica Pharmacy (Boise & Eagle, Idaho locations)

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (rotating)

Reports To: Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Manager

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00/ hour Profit/Merit Bonus

Job Summary

We are currently expanding our team and have multiple openings for licensed Pharmacy Technicians!

We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician who sets the benchmark for exceptional customer service. To us, service isn't just a box to check; it’s about elevating the entire pharmacy experience from the moment a patient walks through the door. If you possess a natural ability to connect with people, handle a fast-paced environment with grace, and possess the drive to turn everyday transactions into world-class customer care, we want you on our team. While pharmacy experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate customer service to all patients in person and over the phone.
• Assist pharmacists in the daily operation of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and managing outdated medications.
• Efficiently manage data entry for new prescriptions and refills in the pharmacy management system.
• Process insurance claims, troubleshoot third-party rejections, and handle prior authorizations.
• Fill, label, and dispense conventional medications accurately and efficiently.
• Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle patient transactions at the pickup counter or prepare for delivery.
• Organize and maintain the traditional pharmacy stock and dispensing areas.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: Active Idaho pharmacy technician license is preferred; however, for exceptional candidates we will assist with obtaining an Idaho pharmacy technician registration.
• Experience: 2 years of experience with in-person customer support in a high-volume retail environment is required. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong organizational habits, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software and basic computer operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift).
• Dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small instruments and counting pills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
