Summary
Custom Truck One Source is looking for a summer Business Development Intern to assist with digital and content marketing operations and event projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of marketing tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry & Cleaning:
- Assist in cleaning and organizing marketing data.
- Verify and update information in company ERP, CRM & related systems.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure data accuracy.
- Oversee new data entry exercises in addition to enriching existing data.
- Sales Prospecting
- Utilize tools provided to generate business interests
- Identify potential avenues of opportunity for the business
- Enrich existing accounts with data found online or through provided tools
- Learn overall sales process and best practices
- Assist in lead/account nurturing
- Administrative Work:
- Assist in handling inbound marketing requests & team correspondence.
- Assist in organizing marketing events and campaigns.
- Maintain organized files and documentation.
- Organize & maintain promotional merchandize, swag & literature.
- Work including, but not limited to, PowerPoint creation and editing, product description generation and cataloging, budgetary Purchase Order creation and/or documentation, customer appreciation accommodations and branded merchandise facilitation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Adobe Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
Working Conditions
- In-person work at the Kansas City headquarter office up to (5) 8-hour days per week, within the date range of the summer internship.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments as needed for outdoor photography/videography projects.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk reasonable distances as needed in daily duties.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs., as needed.
