Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Machinist located in Roanoke, VA. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various machinery to produce precision parts and instruments. Daily tasks include reading blueprints, sketches, or computer-related instructions, ensuring machinery is operating correctly, monitoring quality and making adjustments as needed, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating and maintaining machinery and tools
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly
- Experience in quality control and assurance processes
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Machinist or Machine Technology program is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
