What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator/Shift Lead position at Custom Stickers?
Night shift / weekend shift
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Production Operator / Shift Lead to join our production team. This is a hands-on position focused on operating and overseeing our sticker printing and laser cutting equipment during our night and/or weekend shifts.
You do not need to come in knowing every machine we use—we can train the right person. Experience with printing, laser cutting, manufacturing, production equipment, or managing a production shift is a major plus.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor sticker printing equipment
- Operate our laser cutting equipment
- Set up jobs and make adjustments to keep production running correctly
- Perform basic troubleshooting when equipment or jobs aren't running as expected
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Keep machines and production areas clean and organized
- Keep jobs moving efficiently and help us meet production deadlines
- Communicate problems, material needs, and equipment issues to the rest of the production team
- Depending on experience, take ownership of the night/weekend production shift and help coordinate other production employees
- Learn additional equipment and production processes as needed

- Able to follow production specifications and written instructions
- Able to stay organized while managing multiple jobs
- Willing to learn new machines and processes
- Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, CNC, laser cutting, sign production, or another production environment is preferred but not required
Leadership or production management experience is a plus and may qualify you for additional responsibilities and higher compensation.
Schedule
This position is specifically intended to help cover our night and/or weekend production shifts.
We have some flexibility in the exact schedule and are open to discussing different night and weekend arrangements with the right candidate.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience.
We are willing to pay more for candidates who already have experience with printing equipment, laser cutters, manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting, or managing a production shift.
About the Job
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with machines, solving problems, and seeing physical products come off the production line. We are looking for someone who can eventually become highly self-sufficient and take ownership of keeping production moving during their shift.
