Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Analyst to support a large-scale application modernization and documentation initiative. This individual will partner with Product Owners, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to assess existing documentation, establish consistent standards, and document technical and functional requirements across multiple applications.
The ideal candidate has strong product or business analysis experience combined with technical writing, process mapping, data analysis, Agile delivery, and API/integration knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business, functional, product, and technical requirements.
- Create PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data flows, sequence diagrams, API contracts, and data dictionaries.
- Develop an Agile Release Train documentation strategy, style guide, taxonomy, templates, and governance standards.
- Define when documentation should be stored in Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA, or JIRA Align.
- Assess documentation across 19 applications and identify missing, outdated, duplicate, or orphaned content.
- Create a gap analysis and prioritize documentation needs based on business importance and modernization risk.
- Develop a Confluence cleanup and migration playbook, including page structures, tagging, version control, archival, and retention standards.
- Document current-state requirements and processes for approximately three to five applications undergoing modernization or replacement.
- Analyze data using SQL and advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Train team members to maintain the new documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst.
- Strong experience developing and governing enterprise technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA, and process-mapping tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, application integrations, and data flows.
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, and advanced Excel.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SAFe environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with application modernization, migration, or replacement initiatives.
- Financial services, banking, payments, or regulated-industry experience is highly desirable.
Salary : $90 - $100
