Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to assist with the upkeep of apartments communities and residential rental properties. This role focuses on basic, general maintenance tasks and is ideal for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (basic plumbing, light electrical, drywall, painting, etc.)
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately
- Assist with unit turns, including cleaning, repairs, and touch-ups between tenants
- Identify maintenance issues and report any larger repairs needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate effectively with property management and team members
Requirements:
- Previous maintenance or general labor experience preferred, but not required
- Basic knowledge of tools and repair work
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Reliable transportation required
- Must provide own basic tools to complete general maintenance tasks
- No certifications required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and use of tools
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Work Environment & Safety Expectations:
- Work will take place in both vacant and occupied residential properties
- Professionalism and respect for residents’ homes is required at all times
For safety and security purposes, work will not be performed alone inside occupied units.
- Maintenance staff will be scheduled with a supervisor, team member, or property representative when
entering occupied properties
- This policy is in place to ensure safety for both employees and residents
- Work assignments will always be structured to maintain a safe and supported environment
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
