What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer Manufacturing position at Custom Service Manufacturing?
Job Summary: Our Quality Engineer is the first point of contact for our customers and suppliers. This is a high visibility position that requires extensive change management with responsibilities for the quality and consistency of the company's products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champion new product launches as required, including PFMEA, capability studies, control plans, design review, gauging, PPAP, Tool Management.
- Review Engineering Change Notices, track the status of QA activities and support implementation of engineering changes.
- Drive internal and external corrective and preventative action.
- Develop engineering change request in response to production issues.
- Develop and maintain Access Database to collect data for KPI's.
- Follows and enforces procedures of ISO/IATF 16949 environment
- Supports customer, supplier, partner visits.
- Develops projects around Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Identifies and communicates training requirements.
- Champion for Safety, initiatives with intent to eliminate recordable and/ or lost time injuries.
- Flexible – ability to adapt to frequent priority changes & substantial role diversity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of common manufacturing processes and logistics systems.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
- Ability to create an environment of positive team work, unity and cooperation
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently with little direction and meet quality and quantity goals.
- Multi-task oriented; highly motivated; self-starter
Credentials and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial/Technology
- Significant knowledge of manufacturing processes procedures related to automotive industry.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
