As a Hearing Protection Fit Technician, you’re the face of our brand. You’ll travel to job sites, create perfect impressions, guide clients through the process with care, and ensure every order is documented and shipped flawlessly. This is a 1099 independent contractor role — ideal as a lucrative side hustle with schedule flexibility.

Position Type & Compensation

1099 Independent Contractor – Flexible Side Hustle Opportunity - Make up to $120-150/Hour.

• Not a W-2 employee position – you’ll receive a Form 1099-NEC for tax reporting.
• No benefits, PTO, or employer insurance – keep 100% control of your time and taxes.
• Pay per fitting – competitive rates with high earning potential (details shared during screening).
• Location - Washington, DC

What You’ll Do

• Travel to scheduled customer sites (industrial plants, construction zones, etc.) and arrive on time.
• Follow our proven ear-mold impression process to create high-quality, comfortable fits.
• Explain the process clearly and answer client questions with confidence and care.
• Share the basics of our industry-leading hearing protection products.
• Complete digital order forms and update HubSpot CRM with accurate client data.
• Package and ship impressions to our lab same-day.
• Collaborate with our Customer Success Manager to resolve scheduling conflicts.

Schedule & Commitment

• Fully flexible – work early mornings, evenings, or weekends to fit your life. We schedule far enough for you to plan.
• Part-time, project-based – typically 5–20 hours/week, depending on demand.
• No minimum hours – perfect alongside a full-time job or other commitments.

Who You Are

• Customer-focused with a calm, professional, and gentle demeanor.
• Comfortable in industrial settings (dusty, noisy, around heavy machinery).
• Reliable transportation valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Tech-savvy enough to use a computer and digital forms (training provided).
• Ear impression experience a plus – but we’ll train the right person.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

• On-site at customer locations (factories, refineries, construction sites).
• Home office for admin tasks (CRM updates, shipping).
• Safety gear provided; industrial environments require closed-toe shoes and situational awareness.
