Custom Prescriptions of Lancaster is hiring full-time Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. New to the field? Pennsylvania now requires Pharmacy Technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy. We'll walk you through exactly how to register, and once you're on board, we provide comprehensive hands-on training to set you up for a long-term career in pharmacy.
What You'll Learn and Do
We train every team member across the full range of pharmacy technician skills, all performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including:
- Greeting and assisting customers with excellent service
- Entering patient demographics and processing prescription claims
- Compounding non-sterile medications in our lab
- Counting, packaging, labeling, and organizing prescription orders
- Preparing and packaging customer orders for shipping
- Receiving and processing incoming shipments of drug products and ancillary supplies
- Handling inbound calls, identifying customer needs, and routing calls appropriately
- Building strong customer relationships by going the extra mile
- Meeting personal and team performance goals
- Other clerical tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
- PA Board of Pharmacy Registration (required — if you're not registered yet, we'll help you get there)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with MS Excel and Outlook (preferred)
- Comfort learning and working in multiple software programs
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to stand for 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay
$16 per hour to start for trainees, up to $24 per hour for registered CPhT technicians - lab experience highly desired
