Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / TIG Welder for a full-time, on-site position at our facility in Spartanburg, SC. The role includes fabricating and welding components using TIG welding processes, producing high-quality performance car parts such as exhaust systems and turbo kits. This individual will interpret and follow technical drawings, ensure proper dimensions and quality, and collaborate with the engineering team to meet production standards. Additionally, the role will involve using a variety of hand tools and larger fabrication equipment. Maintaining equipment, tool organization, and adhering to safety protocols while working in a collaborative environment are a must for the environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with TIG welding techniques and metal fabrication on Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel.
- Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and CAD-designed schematics.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, metalworking equipment, and machinery relevant to fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Understanding of safety protocols in an industrial environment.
- Previous experience with performance automotive parts or similar industry is a plus, but not a must.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing deadlines and your workspace.
- Fabricating and welding exhaust and performance car parts to the highest standards of cleanliness and function.
- Inspecting completed welds for quality assurance and specification compliance.
- Designing and utilizing fixtures to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Maintaining strict adherence to all safety protocols and best practices.
- Maintaining and servicing welding equipment as needed.
- Experience with cutting and fitting in fixtures helps, but not required.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of TIG welding experience, specifically with thin wall stainless steel.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
