Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our presence throughout our service area. This role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and guiding projects from initial conversation through completion. While existing relationships in the local business community are a plus, they are not required. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, enjoys being out in the field, and is driven to generate new opportunities and connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients within the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and present tailored office furniture, flooring, and design solutions
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure project success
- Serve as the primary client contact from proposal through installation
- Attend site visits, installations, and project meetings as needed
- Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales
- Track sales activity and meet or exceed sales goals
Requirements
- Proven success in outside sales and experience in commercial interiors is preferred
- Established relationships with local businesses, contractors, or decision-makers is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent sales experience
- During the initial training period, daily in-office attendance is required to support onboarding, product knowledge, and team collaboration
The first 90 days of employment will be considered an introductory (probationary) period. During this time, performance, attendance, and overall fit for the role will be evaluated to ensure a successful transition into the position.
