We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality and Safety Coordinator to lead our organization’s quality assurance and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to learn and perform the tasks of our quality and safety initiatives, while assisting with general warehouse, shipping, and receiving duties. This role is a near 50/50 split between the needs of our quality and safety responsibilities and assisting warehouse assisting.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001.
- Lead internal and external quality audits to identify areas for improvement, ensure compliance, and uphold certification standards.
- Oversee quality control processes including inspections, testing, and validation to guarantee product integrity and safety.
- Manage safety protocols across manufacturing facilities, ensuring adherence to OSHA guidelines and fostering a safe working environment.
- Coordinate root cause analysis for quality issues or safety incidents and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development projects to embed quality assurance from inception through production.
- Provide training on quality systems, safety procedures, regulatory updates, and best practices to staff at all levels.
- Assist warehouse with receiving, shipping, and administrative tasks when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of quality management principles.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems is preferable, will train the right candidate.
- Basic computer skills with a knowledge or MS Office, particularly Word and Excel preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough quality audits and inspections with attention to detail.
- Strong analysis skills for identifying issues, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Excellent project management skills to lead initiatives from planning through execution.
- Effective communication skills for training teams and collaborating with regulatory agencies.
