Company Overview:
We are a growing furniture company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Alhambra, CA. This role is ideal for a detail oriented hands-on accountant with strong QuickBooks experience and a solid understanding of Cash Flow Management, Accounts Receivable billing and collection, Inventory, Accounts Payable processing, Payroll processing and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, supporting the month-end close and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with management to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger, while continually introducing improvements to the accounting/finance processes to support the company's top-line and bottom-line growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes
- Maintain accurate inventory and Cost of Goods Sold accounting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank, credit card, AP, AR, inventory, prepaid, and accrual accounts
- Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and accruals
- Review P&L and balance sheet reports and explain variances from expected trends
- Support audits, tax filings, and financial reporting
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong QuickBooks experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory-based or manufacturing companies
- Bi-lingual in Mandarin
