The Opportunity
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is seeking a passionate Production Supervisor to lead the assembly of electrical and electronic products supporting the automotive, aerospace, defense, and heavy industries. In this role, you'll oversee production operations to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality output. You'll manage labor, materials, and schedules, while coaching and mentoring staff to meet CME's performance standards and customer commitments.
What You'll Do
- Drive production operations to meet revenue, budget, and scheduling goals.
- Oversee lean manufacturing and shipping processes across factory operations.
- Anticipate and resolve planning and forecasting issues.
- Identify process flow challenges and implement improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Manage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate materials and personnel, including scheduling and assignments.
- Establish and maintain a visual manufacturing floor using 6-S principles.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff; conduct annual performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, AS-9100, and CMMI requirements.

- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and team leadership.
- Skilled in quality control, customer service, and efficient production techniques.
- Experience in personnel management, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proven ability to implement solutions.
- Ability to drive performance improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and industry standards (AS-9100/CMMI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Supervisory experience with proven team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred) for material and inventory management.
- Strong sense of urgency and resource management.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS in Engineering or related field preferred; or AA degree/2 years specialized training.
- 5–12 years of manufacturing and supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success.
Other Requirements
- U.S. Person status required under ITAR/EAR regulations (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Verification of identity and work eligibility required; CME cannot employ individuals on student or temporary work visas.
- Completion of Predictive Index Assessments.
- Minimal travel required (0–5%), usually local to vendors.

Salary : $65,000 - $72,000
