Quality Auditor/Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece inspections to verify dimensional and visual acceptance.
• Conduct in-process inspections throughout production runs.
• Train machine operators using approved Golden Samples for product comparison.
• Verify work instructions, packing instructions, and run logs are current, complete, and understood by operators.
• Inspect products requiring dimensional measurements using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure parts are properly identified, labeled, and packaged before release to inventory.
• Redline work instructions as needed and submit revisions to Quality.
• Issue or request Quality Alerts when required.
• Notify Supervisors and Lead Operators of any quality concerns.
• Segregate nonconforming material and complete MRR documentation for review.
• Submit completed inspection records to the Quality Department.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain compliance with ISO quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• Injection molding manufacturing experience
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges (preferred)
• Pin gauges (preferred)
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic math skills
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred

• 2 years of Quality Inspection experience in an injection molding environment
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
• Experience with First Article Inspection and in-process inspections
• Experience completing nonconformance documentation (MRR)

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to distinguish fine cosmetic defects and dimensional variations.
