Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities
- Support the accounting operations by downloading, naming and filing documents, set up new vendors, maintaining vendor documents (w9s, vendor contact and banking information) and sending correspondence (especially end of month).
- Maintain accounting databases by recording data into the accounting\AP processing system with completed documentation.
- Support the accounting month end close process, reconciliations and etc.
- Provide assistance with ad hoc projects and reports.
- Provide assistance with the annual audit.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks needed.
Accounting Clerk Qualifications/Skills:
- Familiarity with financial software (Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, NetSuite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Reporting skills
- Typing proficiency
- Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability
- University/college degree in a related discipline is an asset.
- Previous accounting experience preferred.
