CSS - Material Expeditor - HOU

Summary/Objective:

In this role, the Material Expeditor will be responsible for order processing and fulfillment of customer orders. This role includes working with other warehouse team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to address and resolve supply chain issues
• Expedite critical or delayed materials to support production schedules
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient distribution
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, purchase orders, and supplier interactions
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the procurement and supply chain process
• Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams to meet project requirements
• Generate and analyze reports to assess material flow and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding materials and supply chain management

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience as a material expeditor, supply chain coordinator, or similar role
• Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations is a plus
